Eurovision

We've been watching Eurovision tonight (and Tuesday and Thursday as well) and the Icelandic entry has been doing really well. We'll see in about an hour how well.

Eurovision 2007

I've been listening to the Eurovision entries that have been made public so far. Of the entries so far I have three favourites (apart from the Icelandic one). Romania was the first one I heard and liked a lot. Then Ireland and now last Latvia. Not a typical Eurovision song but I love it, probably because it sounds a bit like Il Divo. Hope these links work. And we have a winner!

The Icelandic Eurovision final was last night. Nine songs, some good, some not so good. Both Bob and I (and quite a few other people that we know) rooted for Eiki who took part on Iceland's behalf in 1986 and on Norway's behalf in 1991. Last year we were disappointed, we didn't like the song we sent and the performer was horrible and she did not do us proud. This time we are happy. Eiki won and we know that he will do us proud. The girls

I haven't put in any pictures for a while but here we have a couple. I took them last night when the girls were getting ready for their bath, as can be seen, they had to try out new things first! They thought this was a lot of fun.

Last night we saw - and heard - the first 8 entries in the Icelandic Eurovision. Three qualified to the finals, non of them really good. I didn't think any of these songs was really good, Bob liked one and that wasn't a bad song at all, but it didn't qualify. In the last three songs we saw, there were four former Idol "stars". One of the songs that qualified, was performed by three guys and they "danced" the most awkward dance while they performed. It was really embarassing but people seemed to liked, at least it qualified. Bob doesn't think we will qualify this year either and with these songs, we won't.
